Really interesting article in Wired about how a surfer scientist is testing out high-tech surfboards that respond to the conditions and the surfer to create custom flexibility in the board.

this is great!  one surfboard fits all perhaps in the future?  the connection between the board + the person matters a lot, even if it’s all in my head. ;)
